M&E building services design as part of a composite design team lead by an Architect. Services design included ETP URS, pre-treatment for sea and fresh water services, secondary treatment for sea and fresh water services, specialised extract and supply ventilation to achieve the desired pressure regime. Lighting ensuring air tight seals and maintaining pressure regime envelope integrity.

A new diagnostic aquaria & associated laboratories constructed on a green field site connecting to existing site infrastructure.

The work included traditional mechanical & electrical services to serve the new facility with the specialist plant conditioning, sea water & towns water supplies to the aquaria tanks. All discharge effluent is treated prior to entering the public system by either the ozone or heat effluent treatment plants which were bespoke design based upon determined pathogens. The design has achieved a BREEAM excellent rating & a 20% saving over Scottish Building Regulations Carbon emission requirements. The thermal modelling & daylight analysis were carried out in house.
